IES Cross-Cultural and Comparative Studies Scholarship
WHEN: All semesters and full year programs.
WHERE: Any IES program.
WHO FOR: Open to students who have an interest in cross-cultural and comparative studies (majors include, but are not limited to African-American Studies, Comparative Literature, Public Policy, International Relations, etc.)
ELIGIBILITY: 3.3 minimum GPA required. Recipients must be accepted to and attend an IES program.
HOW MUCH: Ranges from $500 to $3,000.
MODULES: Applies to all programs.

IES Fine Arts or Performing Arts Scholarships
WHEN: All semesters and full year programs.
WHERE: Any IES program.
WHO FOR: Open to students who excel in one of the arts (Visual Arts, Music, Drama, Creative Writing, etc.)
ELIGIBILITY: 3.3 minimum GPA required. Recipients must be accepted to and attend an IES program.
HOW MUCH: Ranges from $500 to $3,000.

IES Dr. William Louis Gaines Endowed Scholarship
WHEN: Academic Year only.
WHERE: Any IES program.
WHO FOR: Open to students who meet the following criteria:
  • Attend a private college or university that is a Member or Associate Member of the IES Consortium.
  • Currently receive financial aid from their home school. The home school must have a policy of transferring at least 75% of home school aid to IES.
ELIGIBILITY: 3.3 minimum GPA. History or International Relations major. Must be attending an IES program for an academic year duration.
HOW MUCH: Ranges up to $1,875.

IES High Academic Achievement Scholarship
WHEN: All semesters and full year programs.
WHERE: Any IES program.
WHO FOR: Open to students who are performing academically at an extremely high level of achievement within any major. Applicants may have published a scholarly article, presented at a conference, performed within a professional arena, or achieved any similar academic distinction.
ELIGIBILITY: 3.3 minimum GPA required. Recipients must be accepted to and attend an IES program.
HOW MUCH: Ranges from $500 to $3,000.

IES John Gearen Endowed Scholarship
WHEN: All semesters and full year programs.
WHERE: IES Dublin.
WHO FOR: Open to students who have an interest in studying on an IES program in Argentina, Chile, China, Ecuador or Ireland. John Gearen, a member of the IES Board of Directors for many years and past chair of the Board for six years, is a leading real estate attorney and Rhodes Scholar who is involved in numerous philanthropic causes. Mr. Gearen has generously established this scholarship to support students who have an interest in studying on the IES Dublin program or at another IES Center in a developing region of the world. Preference is given to students interested in Ireland.
ELIGIBILITY: 3.3 minimum GPA required. Recipients must be accepted to and attend an IES program.
HOW MUCH: Ranges up to $1,000.
MODULES: Applies to all programs in Argentina, Chile, China, Ecuador, or Ireland.

WHO FOR: Open to students who have an interest in international business. Majors might include management, marketing, economics, finance, international relations, and social and behavioral sciences.
