Description: |
Roehampton University is a unique place to study. Located six miles from downtown London and situated next to one of London’s biggest parks – Richmond Park - the four college campuses combine the allure of the English countryside and the upbeat city lifestyle. Our colleges promote a strong community atmosphere so you will feel at home away from home. Roehampton University prides itself on our diverse student body with students from 100 countries currently represented allowing you to make life long friends with people from around the world.
Roehampton is distinctive in that we have a dedicated staff to support our international students. We offer an in-depth orientation upon arrival which helps you find your way around the campus, your way around London and helps you meet other new students. This support continues throughout the academic year; we arrange trips that satisfy your tourist side and we arrange parties for the holidays. Our support extends to the different Schools with the students able to approach the International Centre staff if there are any scholastic issues that arise.
The University is home to over 35 societies (founded and run by students), seven restaurants and cafes, and offers numerous volunteering and work opportunities both on and off campus. We have new student housing, our own television studios, an active Students' Union and 10 sports teams - try a distinctly English sport such as Netball or Rowing!
And off campus, the opportunities don’t stop! With central London 20-30 minutes away you can easily experience a show in the West End, shopping at Harrods, all of London’s fabulous museums, the London Eye, Big Ben and Tower Bridge to name but a few our local attractions. By train we are only 45 minutes from the funky waterside town of Brighton. We are conveniently situated near all the public transportation options – including buses, tube, trains and airports. You may just find the hardest thing about being at Roehampton is finding time to do all you want to do!
Come and take advantage of the many opportunities awaiting you at Roehampton University.
