Description: WORK ABROAD! IAESTE sponsors paid internships abroad in more than 70 countries, including all of the UK and the Republic of Ireland. Positions are available in industry, research institutes, universities, consulting firms, labs, and other work environments. Most placements are for 8-12 weeks during the summer; longer placements of up to 12 months are also available. To be eligible, students must: attend an accredited U.S. university on a full-time basis, have attained junior standing by the time of internship, be between the ages of 18 and 30, and be engaged in a technical field of study. Included in Cost: A nonrefundable application fee is due upon submission of application. Once nominated to an internship, a deposit and program fee are due. If accepted to the internship, student will receive a salary designed to cover the cost of living in the host country. Student is responsible for travel costs, visa/work permit fees (where applicable), incidental expenses, and health insurance.
